Our
church was opened in 1964, it is bright and modern. It was
re-ordered in 1993.
The architect was Weightman and Bullen. It replaced a smaller,
but much loved church. It has a glass screen in the Narthex
by the artist Stephen Foster on the theme of baptism.
The statue of Our Lady, hand-carved in the last century in
Bavaria, was a gift from the Poor Clare nuns when they closed
their monastery in Liverpool.
Our church tower and cross are floodlit every night, and the
outside fibre glass statues of the Sacred Heart and St. Margaret
Mary are also floodlit on special occasions.
