Preparation
for infant baptism is held jointly with the Anglican parish
of Holy Spirit.
Parents make an appointment with the parish catechist to register
their child for baptism. Appointments (booked through the
Parish Office) from 10.00-11.00am and 2.00-3.00pm on Tuesdays,
or by special arrangements.
The programme was written and prepared jointly by St. Margaret
Mary’s and Holy Spirit.
Parents are required to attend a preparation meeting. These
meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month from
3.30-5.00pm and alternate between St. Margaret Mary’s Parish
House and Holy Spirit Church Hall.
The theme of the preparation meeting is ‘a parents love’ and
looks at the significance of the Sacrament of Baptism and
its associated symbols.
Children are presented to the parish at a weekend Mass of
their choice prior to Baptisms, which take place on Sundays
at 1.00pm.
